Paris punishes checklists and rewards neighborhoods. This route gives each area a half day minimum, books the two things that need booking, and leaves room for the city's best activity: wandering with a bakery stop in sight.
Day 1
Île de la Cité and the Latin Quarter
Notre-Dame's rebuilt silhouette, Sainte-Chapelle's stained glass (book ahead), Shakespeare & Company, and dinner in the Latin Quarter — rue Mouffetard for the classic bistro feel.

Louvre and the Seine
Louvre at opening with a plan (pick one wing — Denon for the hits), recover in the Tuileries, cross to the Left Bank via Pont des Arts, sunset from the Seine banks with a picnic from a fromagerie.

Montmartre and Pigalle
Sacré-Cœur before the crowds, the quiet backstreets behind Place du Tertre (rue de l'Abreuvoir), lunch on rue des Martyrs, and the evening in South Pigalle's cocktail bars.

Versailles day trip
RER C to Versailles early with a timed ticket. Palace first, then rent a bike for the gardens and the Grand Trianon — most people never see the estate's best half. Back for dinner in Saint-Germain.

Le Marais and the Eiffel Tower, finally
Le Marais morning: Place des Vosges, falafel on rue des Rosiers, vintage shops. Then the Eiffel Tower done right — sunset from Trocadéro, then walk under it at night when it sparkles on the hour.
